Our Story

History
In 2002, after over 20 years of experience in professional water and wastewater engineering, owner and president Kurt Wright, P.E., founded Kurt D. Wright & Associates, Inc.

In 2014, the name of the company was changed to SDG Engineering, Inc. after the Latin phrase soli deo gloria—“to the glory of God alone.”  Following in the tradition of composers such as Bach and Handel, who often inscribed the words on their manuscripts, the phrase reflects the vision of the founder to do everything for the glory of God.

“…whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.”
1 Corinthians 10:31

Soli Deo Gloria
Soli Deo Gloria is Latin for “to God alone glory” or, rephrased “to the glory of God alone.”

The letters S.D.G. written by G.F. Handel at the end of one of his manuscripts.

Completed by 1741 in a mere 24 days Handel’s Messiah is one of the best-known choral pieces in Western music, as well as one of the most appreciated and well-loved. Whether the mystery of its enduring legacy lies in the skill and beauty of the music; the familiar, fascinating story at its center–Christ’s life from prophecy to resurrection; or both, Messiah speaks to the shared longings of the human spirit, and has so captivated the hearts of millions that it has become an essential part of the celebration of Christmas.
